| Some see in my pictures much from archeology, some – from Space. Yet I am proceeding from the Earth thought having all this flight.
(Vladimir Gachinsky) Vladimir Gachinsky, like other artists having begun their creative biographies in the middle 80-s, saw the beginnings of the vanguard search in the Kazakhstani art. The artist has worked out his own style, perfectly individual, constantly developing and mobile. It is characteristic both of expressionistic features and ornamental origin.
The inalienable part of Gachinsky’s creativity is the great interest to the origins of national cultures, Turk culture foremost, as the focus of the universal knowledge and also the aspiration to understand and express the invisible laws ruling our life. The artist interprets and develops the ethnic primary elements to adjust them to the present, using a rich arsenal of modern art’s expressive means.
Vladimir Gachinsky is creating his own model of the Universe. The World of his works is complicated, many-sided and unfathomable. The artist is filling it with culture values and archetypes, having been created in the course of millenniums, existing in our reality, defining our being, but inaccessible for direct sensual comprehension.
Anthropomorphous creatures - sad and wise angels, personify the sublimation of the spiritual energy of the mankind. These creatures are closely connected with the surrounding world, they absorb all its complicacy through primordial, primeval forms of cognition: inner self-contemplation, movement, music and dance. The culturological phenomena, which have singled the Man out of natural the environment, still exist and define the uniqueness of both our time and our world, notwithstanding the change of generations.
