Учителя — наше вдохновение

Одним из самых значимых событий стал областной семинар для учителей английского языка, который был проведён по инициативе Департамента образования 29 февраля в казахско-турецком лицее для одарённых детей. «Без широкого знания английского языка трудно говорить о подлинной конкурентоспособности нации», — эти слова Президента обосновывают новый статус английского языка как предмета в казахстанской школе и важность проведённого мероприятия.

Тема семинара «Инновационные технологии в обучении английскому языку» вызвала большой интерес у педагогов области: более 50 учителей школ и колледжей области приняли участие в этом мероприятии, поистине ставшим форумом учителей. Администрации КТЛ удалось провести семинар на высоком уровне, обеспечить симбиоз теории и практики, показав открытые уроки и пригласив высококвалифицированных специалистов из фонда KATEV и Казахско-турецкого университета им. С. Димереля.

Как сделать трудоемкий и сложный процесс обучения английскому языку интересным и увлекательным? Как сделать ученика активным субъектом образовательного процесса? Ответы на эти вопросы пытались найти участники семинара в ходе семинара. Старший преподаватель Казахско-турецкого университета Я. Догонай дал практические советы по применению информационно-коммуникативных технологий в учебно-воспитательном процессе.

Главному специалисту фонда «KATEV» Э. Куртай Чиг, непревзойдённому оратору, обладающему великолепными интерактивными навыками, удалось вдохновить участников семинара на активное участие и творчество. Блестящее знание английского языка и методики обучения, умение владеть аудиторией, большое личное обаяние вызвали глубокое уважение у коллег и надежду на дальнейшее сотрудничество.

«Посредственный учитель излагает, хороший учитель объясняет, превосходный учитель демонстрирует, великий учитель вдохновляет». Молодые педагоги, проводившие открытые уроки, продемонстрировали безупречное знание английского языка и демократический стиль общения с учениками. Осуществляя речевое партнерство, продуктивное взаимодействие в ходе урока, они вдохновляли своих учеников на поиск новых знаний.

Не в этом ли успех КТЛ?

A leap — year brings us one extra day as a present

People say that a leap — year is, as a rule, an unhappy one. It is doomed to bring cataclysms like political and economical crises, natural disasters: earthquakes, flooding, storms, tornados, crashes and accidents, health problems etc.

As to me, I don't believe in such gloomy predictions. If a leap year has brought us an extra day, this day should be taken by people with gratitude and used in an effective way for discovering and learning new things, meeting new friends, improving our lives. Namely, in such a way teachers of English in Petropavlovsk spent the 29th of February, because one of the great events in teaching and schooling life of the region was held in Kazakh-Turkish lyceum for gifted children — the seminar devoted to innovations in ELT.

It is one of the most urgent problems of Kazakhstani schools. More than 50 English teachers of high schools and colleges were friendly welcomed by KTL teaching staff and students. The guests were greeted by Sayran Denkenova, the Head of the Department of Education. The sincere interest for this event from the side of the Department can be explained by the importance of the theme aimed at carrying out the State language policy of Kazakhstan. The President of RK considers that «without profound knowledge of English it is very difficult to speak about the nation's real competitiveness.»

The administration of KTL was succeeded in organizing the seminar, providing symbiosis of theory and practice, having given demonstrative lessons and master-classes. The students prepared concert, which was really a surprise!

Giving demonstrative lessons the young teachers A. Daniyarova and Maulet demonstrated a fluent English and a good knowledge of teaching methods.

How to make the process of learning English interesting and exciting? What are the ways of involving students into learning process? The participants of the seminar were doing their best in finding the answers to these questions.

The senior lecturer of S. Demirel University Mr. Doganai gave practical tips on using new informative technologies in educational process and had demonstrated how to maximize the potential of computer software packages to help English learners to improve their language and communicative skills.

All teachers were fascinated by KATEV main specialist Ines Kurtay Chig. His bright personality, abilities of the speaker, brilliant interactive skills were highly appreciated by colleagues. Not only did he manage to involve teachers in all activities, he managed to inspire his colleagues for further professional development.

Once W. Ar. Ward said: «A mediocre teacher tells, a good teacher explains, a superior teacher demonstrates, a great teacher inspires.» So, we were dealing with the great one.

Leaving KTL we were greatly sure that that this extra day wasn't spent in vain. We were thankful to KTL staff for giving us an opportunity to meet such great colleagues, who will be always welcome to Petropavlovsk and with whom we would like to collaborate.

Outside we found out that the snow was melting and there were puddles on the ground. 'Global warmingԵ — you may say. But I am sure there was another reason: the warmth of our hearts filled with affection and love for KTL made the snow melt.
